Hello Health Care Advocates,

It is the final week! Keep an eye on le.utah.gov as things move toward the finish line; there are still a lot of important bills waiting to be debated and approved.

See below for highlights and, as always, check out our tracker for the full list of things we are watching!

HB60- Vaccine Passport Amendments- passed the House and will be heard in Senate Rev and Tax on Tuesday.

HB80- Diabetes Prevention Program- crossed over and passed the Senate. Waiting for its final vote.

Hb127- Medical Practice Amendments- has still not been placed on a committee agenda, and so (fingers crossed) it looks like we defeated this harmful anti-trans bill this year! 🏳️‍⚧️🎉

HB220- Pregnancy and Postpartum Medicaid Coverage Amendments - was assigned to Business and Labor and waiting for a spot on the agenda, unfortunately, it does not look like that will happen this year, even after Rep. Lesser subbed the bill to make it, and the fiscal note, much smaller.

Stay tuned for more work on pregnancy and postpartum coverage after the session!

HB223- Diabetes Supplies Amendments, was assigned to Business and Labor and placed on the agenda, but was pulled by the sponsor due to some technical issues that need to be resolved over interim.

SB185 – Children's Health Coverage Amendments, passed out of the Senate Revenue and Taxation committee and through both its votes on the Senate floor! It is now headed to the House... Let’s hope it keeps up momentum!!

Reminder to check out our vaccine messaging materials as well:
