Hello Health Care Advocates,

Three weeks down! Appropriations subcommittees are completing their work and will be announcing their priority lists shortly. As funding conversations wrap up, things are picking up speed in standing committees and floor discussions.

Here are a few updates:

Representative Lesser's HB220, Pregnancy and Postpartum Medicaid Coverage Amendments was discussed in SSA, and assigned to Business and Labor. We have been having good conversations on the issue, and encourage you to reach out to committee members using the button below. You can reference this messaging guide/FAQ, as well as this compilation of example families and the ways HB220 would help them.

Speaking of Business and Labor, HB223, Diabetes Supply Amendments is also assigned there and could use support. Could you or someone you know benefit from a price cap on insulin pumps or continuous glucose monitors? Contact your representatives and/or committee members to share your story and ask for their support.

We are still watching HB127, Representative Schipp's harmful ban on health care services for trans youth. It has been assigned to HHS and we are fighting to make sure it goes no farther.

HB80, The Diabetes Prevention Program, passed the House and is headed to the Senate!

SB104, Community Health Worker Certification Process, was recommended unanimously by the HHS committee and is headed to the floor.
